Virtual libraries are Internet portals for the scientific information search. On-line libraries against it hold the digitized books ready themselves.

One can divide the virtual libraries into two types: On the one hand there are virtual libraries "“alone"” from one after ranges of topics categorized link collection to electronic information in the Internet exists. These information can be:

• electronic texts
• Mailing lists
• Web page of institutions and federations

• Reference books, (literature) data bases, dictionaries, bibliographies
