TiddlyWiki is called one of Jeremy Ruston developed Wiki application, with whose assistance information was arranged intuitively, to link and store leaves.

A TiddlyWiki a locally stored, thus not server-based HTML file, which contains Javascript and CSS code, is technical. With exception all contents, which the user enters in a TiddlyWiki, are contained of embedded pictures in this file. It can be stored for example on a USB stick and be called at different computers independently of the operating system and worked on.

Entries are stored in Tiddlern so mentioned. It concerns information units, which are hyper+on the left of linked through with one another. While the user writes his text into such Tiddler, he can refer by the way of writing of the words to other Tiddler or put on further potenzielle Tiddler. The strange form of text, which can develop in this way, can be compared with a collection of footnotes, which are assigned to footnotes for their part contained (and so on), but not necessarily a flow text as "“master text"”.

The developer Jeremy Ruston describes his software in such a way:

"“A TiddlyWiki resembles on the one hand a Web log, because it is divided into pretty small blocks, but it encourages on the other hand the reader to read it rather over hyper+on the left of than in a given order. If one wants so, it is a nonlinear counterpart to a Web log; it combines individual micro contents into a coherent whole one. I believe, TiddlyWiki am a new write medium, and it becomes its own, unmistakable write style brings out."” (Source)

Because TiddlyWiki stands under the BSD license, it is freely available and may be changed. There are meanwhile many TiddlyWiki Adaptionen, under it also some are based. Among the examples of practical conversions of TiddlyWikis rank ton DO lists and web pages, in addition, nonlinear narrations.
