teltarif.de is a telecommunications news magazine in the Internet. It was created at the beginning of of 1998 of the citizen of Berlin student dock Petzke. Cause was the opening of the German telephone fixed net for further offerers apart from the German Telekom to 1 January 1998 - first with Tipps for cheaper telephoning. In the meantime teltarif.de above all current, consumer-oriented message from all ranges of telecommunications gives change. Tariff data bases with the German fixed net, portable radio and Internet tariffs are attached.

To an idea from the user forum of teltarif.de is to decrease/go back practice to offer inexpensive telephone calls by call by call over preselections with 0190"… instead of over the numbers with 010, common in Germany,"… Some Telefongesellschaften use the procedure since beginning of 2001. In the same year it succeeded also to obtain local calls over alternative offerers although the local call monopoly of the German Telekom existed officially by 24 April 2003.

Publisher of teltarif.de is in the meantime the 1999 created company teltarif.de on-line publishing house GmbH with offices in Berlin and Goettingen.
