The T-net was a free mailbox net, which was based on minutes ZConnect and was offered as a freiwillige addition of the Z-net of many mailboxes. Contrary to the Z-net, with which on the creation of new boards one co-ordinated, this could take place here in principle from each Sysop and/or mailbox operator.
With /T-NETZ-Brettern "the T stood "for "part-interlaced ". /T-NETZ-Bretter were often boards to special topics and therefore only in certain mailboxes present or boards, which had not gotten majority during tunings in the Z-net. The spreading of individual /T-NETZ-Bretter was accordingly very different. 1995 was renamed /T-NETZ/ more *-Bretter after a choice in /Z-NETZ/ALT/ * and integrated thus into the Z-net-hierarchy. "ALTO "stands here for "alternative ", similarly to the designations in the Usenet. In this form these boards exist this very day and are attainable usually also over most Usenet servers.
