A Scorefile is a file, in which rules store newsreader with appropriate functionality for evaluation (Scoring) of Usenet Postings. On the basis these rules unwanted Postings can be faded out or marked particularly, as well as be emphasized presumably particularly interesting articles. Also it is possible to sort according to article their Scores.

Scorefiles contain in particular the functionality of Killfiles.
