Oracle Application server 10g is a middleware of the company Oracle, who contains among other things an implementation of the J2EE-Architektur. The name correlates with the version 10g Oracle data base, a relational data base system (RDBMS) and most well-known Oracle product. The "“g"” stands thereby for "“Grid"” (see Grid Computing).

Beside the J2EE-Server Oracle Application server 10g offer different other components, among other things management and high availability solutions.
