The Ogo is equipment, which was conceived originally particularly to use localindependently the Instant Messaging service MSN of measuringclose. In addition can be furnished on the equipment, depending upon firmware, up to 5 E-Mail addresses, which one can administer then with sufficient receipt.
The equipment connects itself via GPRS with the Internet, for which one must lock a monthly subscription with a portable radio offerer. From the appropriate offerer one receives then a SIM map and can the services in accordance with subscription use.
In Germany the Ogo is driven out since April 2006 by the company 1&1 in co-operation with Vodafone under the name pocket Web. The Instant Messaging function is not offered with the pocket Web. Instead the user has the possibility of dispatching short messages (SMS) and of using a Www Browser. For a clear representation and bearable load times it recommends thereby, WAP and/or for PDAs optimized itself sides to use.
Instant Messaging services such as ICQ or MSN Messenger can be used with the pocket Web over certain WAP sides.
E-Mail functionality is limited with the pocket Web in only one address, which with United Internet (i.e. GMX, Web.de or 1&1) must lie.
With the help of a Bluetooth Headsets one can telephone with from 1&1 the refugee equipment also mobilely over the Vodafone net.
So far in Switzerland refugee equipment is the CT-12, that in Germany carries the designation CT-17. In the USA the designations are according to CT-10 and CT-15.
