Novell more iFolder is a product of the company Novell. With the too more iFolder belonging programs it is in a simple manner possible to keep files synchronous on several computers.

Function

Novell more iFolder is a Client server system, with which beside a central server on the user computers of the iFolder Client must be installed. If a iFolder system is put on, it makes a working with together used listings for the users possible: if a user marks a listing on his computer as a iFolder listing, this is communicated to the central server, which thereupon its own copy provides. As soon as the user changes something now in this iFolder listing, these changes are synchronized with the copy on the server. The user can invite additionally different users to likewise access the listing. On their computers a copy of the listing is then likewise put down, which adjusts all changes with the servers. Thus each user, who has rights of access for the listing, has the same documents and the same version conditions as the other users.

Beyond that also that is access possible over a Web interface, in order to grant also access if the user is at a computer without a iFolder Client.

The iFolder Clients supports Peer ton Peer function apart from the server-based function additionally still another, with which the necessity for the central server is omitted. This function is however limited to local of networks.
