Mercury is one of the New Zealander David Harris developed software for the receiving, dispatching and distributing Mails (MTA) in a local network (LAN) or over Internet (WAN).

The license-free, modular developed E-Mail transport system (MTS) can be operated under the operating systems Netware and Windows 32-Bit and can over command line or a graphic surface (only Windows version) be steered alternatively. The advantage of the modular structure is that users must take only the server modules in enterprise, which are really needed. Beside normal minutes POP3 and smtp are integrated IMAP, contents control to the Spam fight and a mailing list module (list server).

Mercury can be responded with all Mailclients. Particularly effectively the program with the Mailclient Pegasus Mail programmed by the same developer co-operates. The software development financed by the freiwilligen purchase of manuals and conclusion of support contracts.

Already promptly David Harris recognized the increasing meaning of the Internets and already developed in such a way the Mailserver Mercury in the year 1993.
