Kuro5hin ("“technology and culture, from the trenches"”) is a realigning and a discussion portal, which operate according to the principle of the P2P-Journalismus; the messages are selected and are not written not by an editorship, but writes from users the Community and suggested; new contributions arrive into the tender queue and can be judged there by other participants (open Peer Review process). Only articles, which are accepted of the Community in the tuning, arrive as message at the starting side.

The technical basis for Kuro5hin forms the open SOURCE portal system Scoop (and, there called "“collaborative media application"”) in connection with LAMP (here Linux, Apache, MySQL and Perl).

Participants of Kuro5hin are above all US-American trailers of ideology, in addition, the world-descriptive used Cyberlibertarians ("“California ideology"”).
