Freedom for left was an initiative of active Netizens, which were created due to the excitement around a complaint because of the adhesion for hyper+on the left of in May 1998. The initiative achieved in the meantime by its commitment and by a large collection at scientific papers about Internet right a large public and could many prominent supporters and partners win. After internal problems the initiative in the summer 2003 was terminated.

Philosophy

Freedom for left used itself for a net culture, which contributes to promote human knowing and understanding and themselves each other. The initiative saw itself as a for the defense of the rights of all, against abuse of the same, to censorship and thus in the long run against the restriction of the liberty of opinion.

History

In the year 1998 it came in the procedure vs. Best around the question of the link adhesion to a contentious judgement, which provided for large attention and excitement. Due to not corrected formal defects during the association registration the association was deleted on 13 August 2003 from the register of associations.

The funds donated for the case Stefan already by this (along) were administered. It is to partly serve - in arrangement with the donors - for the support more suitably different law cases.

After dissolution of the association the Web appearance was conveyed again to Uschi herring, which replaces thereafter contents by courses an information page. Only in October 2004 again in connection with the judgement against on-line satire FreedomFone new information were adjusted.
