A forum play (also forum play called) is a play, which is played in Internet forums. One mostly uses for it modern forum systems, the so-called bulletin board.

One can differentiate roughly two kinds from forum plays:

The simple forum play actually, and the substantially more complex forum game of roles

With the forum play it concerns contrary to the forum game of roles around a simple society play during it with a forum game of roles a Fantasyrollenspielrunde running in a forum mostly acts.

Examples of forum plays

• Association chain: The association results first from a starting term and then from each further association
• Trisoziationen: Three terms are given. One picks oneself one out of it and writes three associations on it as answer

• Quotations guess/advise: A quotation or a text excerpt and is gepostet the author is looked for.

A forum play functioned mostly exclusively over catalogs of themes (Threads) in those the play courses by the participants to be published.

The forum plays specified above run mostly unmoderiert, when self runners, while a forum game of roles are generally moderated. One answers alternating and everyone that the range of the forum to see and use can, may in it participate.

Independently of the kind and/or the topic of the forum, it lasts itself with a Community increasing developing therein and mostly not for a very long time, until such forum plays result.

Depending upon Community such forum plays of certain Usern are described also gladly as Postingschinderspielchen or Spam factories, since they lead fast to a large number of contributions, which have however no deeper sense.
