The Extensible Provisioning Protocol (EPP) is flexible minutes to the creation of objects in registration data bases over Internet.
Minutes are the result of the Provisioning Registry (provreg) working group of the IETF and in the year 2004 were finished placed. The motivation for the creation of EPP was the need of durable and flexible minutes for transactions between the operators of the DNS Registrierungsdatenbanken and the DNS Registraren. Such transactions take place always then, if a Domain name entry registers again, are extended, changed or deleted. Before EPP the registration data bases did not have uniform interfaces. EPP be based on XML and is suitable in principle for arbitrary order systems. Important RFCs to EPP is 3730-3735, 3375 and 4310.
