The European Internet Exchange Association (euro IX) was created by the largest European operators by Internet knot (IX). The organizations is for Provider, network carriers and Internet knot operator (Internet Exchange Provider, IXP) meant.

Since the entry of the American EQUINIX (2005) to the euro IX the organization covers 36 members (IXPs), corresponds approx. to 50% the European IXPs.
