Econophone is Swiss a telecommunications company with seat in Zurich. Econophone offers VoIP, ADSL connections, Web space and Webmail. The company was created in July 1997 in course as corporation, in June 1998 changed the company headquarters to Zurich. In the year 2003 the share capital was supplemented by CHF 100,000 on CHF 1.000.000. Since 20 July 2005 Econophone is in the possession of the Swedish company Tele2. At this time Econophone was the number 4 in Swiss fixed net market. Turnover figures did not arrive so far at the public.
