dol2day is 2000 created, German-language politics Community in the Internet. Their complete name reads: "“Democracy on-line Today"”. It gives the possibility to its users ("“Dolern"”) of occurring discussions over selected topics whereby the emphasis is on political topics. The membership is free.

Dol2day raises beyond that the requirement to be a democracy simulation. Members have the possibility of uniting in virtual parties. By "“initiatives"” (virtual associations) the organization is refined. Every four months a "“Internet chancellor"” is selected beyond that.

The "“Internet chancellor"”

The "“Internet chancellor"” is selected every four months. It does not have firmly defined tasks within the system of dol2day. Occasionally it appeared as a representative of the Community and dol2day in relation to the press and other organizations represented. As a rule this task is taken over however directly by the editorship.

The discrepancy between the designation "“Internet chancellor"”, who seem to point on a powerful position, and its only very much limited possibility of the influencing control is karikiert occasionally with dol2day by the designation "“Internetkasper"”.

The chancellor elections

The Internet chancellor is usually selected set up by party alliances as a candidate for the chancellorship so mentioned and directly of the Dolern by the preference choice system (PWS).
