When Distributed Checksum Clearinghouse, briefly DCC, a system designated for the recognition of Spam enamels.
It functions over Clients and servers, which collect check totals of enamels. Clients can e.g. be the domestic PC with a Spam filter program in addition, a smtp server. The Clients passes the check total on to (public) a DCC server. The check total identifies a E-Mail clearly and on the basis the number, how often this E-Mail became to receive, can other Clients, which call the information up from a DCC server, a E-Mail than Spam identify and if necessary filter.
A characteristic of the check total is that it applies also to a E-Mail, if small parts of these changed.
Spamihilator (with Plugin) SpamAssassin supports likewise the integration of the DCC procedure. The mechanism is described here.
