Curl is a multi-paradigm programming language, which was developed, in order to reduce the number of languages within an application of Internet. The programmer must in such a way change for a new problem only the way of thinking, but not language uses.

Curl is developed since 1995. The first public version appeared in the year 2000.Heutzutage is present Curl in the version 4.0 and by the coworkers of the FirmaCurl Incorporated is developed further. The Japanese enterprise Curl internationally corporation markets everything approximately around the language.

Curl takes up many characteristics by HTML, Java and vrml. In connection with data bases soeCommerce applications are possible. In addition can be produced graphic objects for two and three-dimensional worlds. By event-controlled programming various animations are possible.

For Curl applications a Plug in (Curl Surge RTE) is needed, which is made available on the web page of the American company Curl Incorporated as Download. In addition place-placing that enterprise an Curl editor (Curl Surge lab IDE) for programming for the order, which an extensive documentation contains in English language. Current information in German language is present in form of a thesis (diploma). The author analyzed the language, and summarized pro and cons comprehensively.
