Cryptome or Cryptome.org is a well-known and disputed Website, whose owner John Young supports particularly an unrestricted opinion and uninformativeness. In order to achieve this goal, on the Web server in the USA above all documents and photos are published, which are subject to a secrecy of different governments of the world. The documents are deleted only if this by a responsible court of the USA is arranged.

Besides however also numerous documents from ranges of topics are published such as liberty of opinion, cryptology and monitoring.

Spectacular publications were among other things the so-called "“MI6 files"”, which a list of names of agents of the British secret service MI6 contained, "“The Eyeball of series"”, a series of publications over secret government plants as well as pictures of killed US soldiers in the course of the third Gulf War.

Since Cryptome was not to be reached in the past always again, the Site on numerous other Web servers is reflected.
