The Codices Electronici Ecclesiae Coloniensis (CEEC) is an Internet project, which offers digitized handwriting of the Middle Ages for the public.
The project was converted of the University of Cologne, Institut for historical-culture-scientific data processing.
All handwriting of the Dizesan and cathedral library Cologne (DDB) was processed. Thus those is available world-wide first expenditure of a completely digitized handwriting existence of a library with this project. The oldest works originate from that 6. Century.
Each facsimile has a dissolution between 200 and 600 dpi (unkomprimiert in each case 45 MT). The entire volume of data amounts to 5.85 Terabyte (about 9000 CDROMs).
The CEEC covers among other things 366 Kodizes of the library with altogether 130,000 sides.
