When one designates clientseitige script languages (client side script LANGUAGEs) generally such script languages, which (among other things also) are used for providing Web-based computer programs, which are implemented on side of the Webbrowsers. From it to distinguish are server-lateral script languages, with which one writes Skripte, which become implemented on the Web server (interpreted) (e.g. Perl, PHP etc.). Clientseitige script languages are a substantial component of dynamic HTML (DHTML).

Today probably the most important, clientseitige script language is Javascript. Beside it still VBScript and ActionScript have a certain meaning.
