The CiteSeer Scientific Literature digitally LIBRARY (digital library of scientific literature) is a search machine and a quotation ion data base for freely accessible scientific information in the Internet.

It covers computer science and information science over 720.000 documents mainly to the specialist areas. Many of the publications can be downloaded as free pdf documents. The special at CiteSeer is that the referenzierte literature is linked.

CiteSeer was developed at the "“NEC Research of institutes"” (Princeton, the USA) and is operated today of the Pennsylvania State University.
