ChatZilla is a IRC Client for different versions of the Mozilla Browsers.
It was written in Javascript and XUL von Robert Ginda and functioned with each operating system, on which Mozilla runs. (Among other things Mac OS, Linux, Microsoft Windows, Solaris, IRIX, BeOS, HP-UX, OS/2 and BSD.) the program supports the usual IRC functions, under it CTCP, DCC, mIRC colors etc. the appearance of the messages can simply by CSS be changed. In addition, ChatZilla is delivered with the Mozilla Suite, is available as extension for Mozilla Firefox and other Mozilla based Browser.
Similarly as with mIRC can be merged also with ChatZilla Scripte, which make additional functions available. As language here Javascript is used. Since the entire Mozilla API is available, very extensive and powerful Scripte is possible. Due to compared with mIRC quite young age and the small spreading however only relatively few Scripte are available (conditions August 2005).
