Centericq is in the text mode more working, menu and window-steered Instant a Messaging Client, that minutes ICQ, Yahoo! , AIM, MSN, IRC and Jabber support. Also merging of RSS feeds is possible. The program for Linux, *BSD, is available Sun Solaris, Windows and Mac OS X/Darwin operating of system.

Centericq was written by Konstantin Klyagin and is licensed under the GNU general Public License.

Since the program runs in the text mode, it is served exclusively over the keyboard. It is somewhat habituation needy, under the used libraries that the Escape-Taste must be pressed twice in each case (something reminds at the vi).

It is possible over text files to configure the program in such a way that with certain events actions are implemented.

Attention, Centericq adheres not exact to the Jabber standard! That has the consequence that at the receipt PGP-coded message of other Instant can take place fair gladly every now and then no decoding. Who puts no reconfiguration of its programs on security value and wants to its interlocutors to zumuten, in order to go around the problem, Centericq should not use. At this time (August '05) the error is not yet repaired.
