Blackberry is the name of one of the Canadian enterprise Research in Motion (RIM) developed solution for wireless communication, primarily for E-Mail and personnel information manager (PIM) - data. This solution covers an Client server architecture, BlackBerry minutes between Clients and servers and a series of BlackBerry able terminals (Smartphone) of RIM. The net connection is made over the usual GPRS binding over a portable radio operator.

Functionality

The substantial function of the Blackberrys consists of being able to send everywhere enamels as Push service received and. Meanwhile there is a software solution named Blackberry Connect, which copies BlackBerry functionality on PDAs, e.g. on Windows CE devices like the MDA 3 of T-mobile, or Sony Ericsson P910i. At present only equipment with full BlackBerry functionality outside of the RIM devices, is the SK65 von Siemens. This disappoints however at the power management, so that it represents its own section opposite the "“genuine"” Blackberry.
