A black list (often also English blacklist) is a list of instances - for example persons or telephone connections - who are to be disadvantaged in the comparison to the public. This disadvantage can express itself among other things in social discrimination or technical restriction. The counterpart to the black list marks the white one in such a way specified list (whitelist), with which the instances specified on the list are preferred in relation to the public.
