The Active FoxPro Pages was developed of Peter Herzog (dFPUG) as alternative to the Active server Pages of Microsoft.

Contrary to the ASP, which is based on Visual basic (recently on .NET), works the AFP with of Microsoft universal data base language Visual FoxPro.

The AFP works also like the ASP with the Scriptlet indications <% %>, whereby problem-free working with Frontpage or other web pages Erstellungstools is possible.

The AFP is developed further and driven out today by the company ProLib. See: http://www.afpages.de
